Will the Convention be recorded?
Yes, the main panel sessions of the Convention will be recorded. Attendees will be notified by email when the recordings are available.
What platform is the Convention being hosted on?
The Convention will run on Zoom Events, Zoom’s virtual conferencing platform which has an easy to use dashboard to enable attendees to navigate the multiple streams and information about the sessions and speakers.
Once you are inside a session, Zoom Events looks and works in exactly the same way as a regular Zoom webinar or meeting.
How do I access the Convention?
Firstly, you need to purchase a ticket via Humanitix. Prior to the Convention, you will receive an email from CIP Team with the subject ‘Ticket to access People Powered Politics Convention’. This email will contain a JOIN link to enter the Convention. Click this link and it will take you to the Convention Welcome Lounge where you can see the sessions, speakers, attendees and the Welcome Lounge chat.
To ensure a smooth Convention experience, we encourage you to do the following:
Familiarise yourself with the Convention in the Zoom Events environment prior to attending
Carefully file the JOIN email so you can easily find it
Download the latest version of Zoom’s Desktop Client (https://zoom.us/download)
How do I find out about the Convention sessions and speakers?
The Convention Program schedule is shown on our Convention page and full details about the Convention can be found in the Participant’s Pack.
Full details of sessions and speakers is also accessible within Zoom Events once you are logged in.
What is the CI Network?
At the Convention we will be introducing CI Network - an online community platform to enable the Community Independents Network to more easily connect, share and collaborate. We encourage Convention attendees to join CI Network so they can easily meet and chat to other people in the movement.
As part of your Convention ticket, you will receive an invitation to join CI Network. Simply click the invitation and it will take you to the web browser version of CI Network. Go to Start Here for instructions on what to do next.
CI Network is run on the community platform, Circle. You can continue to access CI Network in the web browser version on your computer or you can download the mobile app version of Circle for android and iPhone.
