Connect to your Community Independent MP or candidate
Does your Electorate have a Community Independent?
If so, click here for MP websites to sign up to their newsletters and social feeds and consider becoming an active volunteer. Volunteering is empowering, rewarding and fun!
If not, did your Electorate have a Community Independent candidate in the 2022 Election?
Connecting with the candidate or the group of people who supported the candidate is a great place to start - they’ll need extra hands to help with community building ahead of the next Election.
The Community Independents movement is people powered!
If there isn’t an Independent MP or candidate, make other connections within your Electorate
If your Electorate doesn’t have a Community Independent MP or candidate, have a look at our list of Community Electoral Groups to see if one is established in your electorate. If not, look further afield on Facebook or Twitter and failing that try reaching out to:
Local environment or conservation groups
Community garden groups
Women’s associations
Active social and sporting groups
Other local volunteer groups
As a group of like-minded politically activated people, consider starting a Voices or community electorate group. Reach out to other Voices type groups for guidance and assistance, they will be more than willing to share their skills, knowledge and experience.
Still need help?
Please contact us and we will try to connect you to like-minded people in your Electorate.
